The Truesdale brothers’ painting history dates back to 1976 when becoming members of  “Painters and Allied Trades” union local 33 for Will county out of Joliet IL. It was there at the beginning that the foundation was made by being taught proper technique by many “old pros” which proved to be invaluable ground work. Our very first employer was a company named: Three-Way Drywall. As the name implies, they did drywall hanging, taping, and painting. Although I was hired as a painter, I often worked around and befriended many tapers where I learned proper techniques for taping and also texturing.

As far as some of the old painters I worked with, many learned to paint in a time before the spray-machine became prevalent and could handle a paint brush in often amazing fashion. We even crossed paths with some that were not even accustomed to using a roller, whereas, they had learned to brush everything, including ceilings and walls with very large brushes. To say these old pros could handle a paint brush was certainly an understatement.

Several of us painting brothers moved out west to Southern California in 1982. Chicago, just didn’t seem like the right place anymore for a variety of reasons.  We had no trouble adapting (especially weather wise), and worked for several large commercial painting companies for the next 10 years which enabled us to expand “our horizons” in becoming more complete professionals.

Over the past 22 years we have been licensed painting contractors in five states, Oregon, California, Idaho, North Dakota, and Arizona, involved mostly in residential repaints, and small commercial. We have a long list of satisfied customers in all these states, and have never been in a dispute over the quality of work we provide, or had any claims – ever filed against us.

Whether you own a mobile home or a mansion, Truesdale Painting will put their heart and experience in to making your project one we can both be proud of!
